Contents of this year’s edition do not differ from the last one, only the way of presenting data by territorial division was changed following the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of 31 December 2014 on the Nomenclature of Territorial Statistical Units (NTS). It is the first publication presenting the socio-economic situation of Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship taking into account new subregions introduced on 1 January 2015. Data according to the division in force till 31 December 2014 are available in the Local Data Bank. Alike in the previous edition, a set of statistical data is grouped into 16 thematic sections, preceded with general notes, presenting current results in as broad spatial terms as possible. Review tables in the beginning of the publication include major data on Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship.

The following publication constitutes a result of surveys concerning innovation activities of industrial and service enterprises in the years 2014-2016 conducted in 2017 by the Central Statistical Office. These surveys were carried out within the framework of the Programme of Statistical Surveys of Official Statistics under items 1.43.02 – Innovations in industry (PNT-02) and 1.43.13 – Innovations in services (PNT-02/u). Comprehensive statistical information presenting the condition of maritime economy in 2017, in comparison with previous years. Information characterising maritime economy in the context of the national economy, along with statistical data on the maritime economy entities, working persons, employment, wages and salaries, investment outlays, fixed assets and finances, load traffic, the flow of passengers and ships in seaports, the maritime and coastal transport fleet and transport by Polish maritime carriers, the maritime commercial fleet under the Polish flag, accidents and sea rescue, ship production, sea fishing and fish processing, maritime training and education, the protection of the maritime environment and sea tourism. Basic information on maritime economy in the international context will also be included.
