The publication contains an extensive set of statistical information grouped in eight thematic sections. It presents the location and administrative division of the Voivodship, but above all it shows demographic changes against the background of issues related to the labour market, education, housing and health. The atlas also includes information on the environment in which the inhabitants of the Voivodship function, illustrating the level and quality of their life.

The described phenomena are presented in the form of graphs, cartograms and cartodiagrams. The basic scope of information concerns 2024, 2023 or the last available year. In order to present changes over time, selected issues are presented in a multi-year retrospective, most often from 2000. Data is presented at the level of voivodships, counties and municipalities. Selected information has been developed in 2x2 km grids. Some phenomena have been shown taking into account the size of cities and according to the Delimitation of Rural Areas.

The main source of data used in the publication are information resources of the public statistics. Part of the information comes from the National Population and Housing Census 2021, as well as from the Public Services Monitoring System. Additionally, the results of experimental studies are presented, in which new methods, tools and programming solutions are used, allowing for processing and combining large data sets (so-called Big Data).
