● Organisational Regulations of the Office (appendix No 1 to the internal regulation of the Director of the Statistical Office in Szczecin of 1 March 2010).
Pursuant to the above mentioned documents, the main tasks of the Statistical Office in Szczecin include:
● collecting, gathering, storing and compiling data for statistical surveys conducted by the President of the Central Statistical Office,
● organising and conducting statistical surveys, including national censuses,
● conducting analyses and aggregate studies of data and statistical information from surveys,
● announcing and disseminating statistical information obtained in official statistics surveys, including major figures and indicators,
● popularising knowledge of statistics,
● conducting national registers:
REGON –national economy entities,
TERYT – territorial division of the country,
in a part covering Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship,
● conducting specialist countrywide tasks for official statistics as a whole, i.a.:
○ preparing methodological principles, conducting surveys, preparing publications and statistical analyses concerning:
— science, technology, innovation and information society statistics,
— maritime statistics,
— inland waterways transport statistics,
— transport and communications statistics,
○ conducting planning and programming works within the Office’s specialisation,
○ participating in international co-operation within the Office’s specialisation,
○ conducting works linked to using administrative sources of data.
